Advertisement for Research Associate position
Applications are invited for the one post of the Research Associate (RA) with a fellowship @ 47000+HRA (as per GOI rules) in SERB sponsored Project titled “Bystander effects of ORF3a and ORF6 of SARS-CoV2 on microRNA mediated gene regulations and their impact on inflammatory responses in human lung epithelial cells” (Project Code: P-07/1258)” initially sanctioned for 03 years under Prof. Sunit Kumar Singh, Molecular Biology Unit, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Age Limit – The upper age limit is 45 years (5 years relaxation for female/SC/ST/ physically handicapped candidates as per the GOI rules). The upper age limit will be counted on the last date of the application submission.

Fellowship – INR 47000+HRA (as per GOI rules)
Essential Qualifications – The candidates should have Ph.D degree in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Zoology (only with specialisation in Cell & Molecular Biology)/Virology supported with the original research publications essentially in the area of infectious diseases and/or cell biology. Applicants will have to attach either a provisional Ph.D degree certificate or Ph.D award certificate along with their application. In absence of this certificate, the application will be rejected.
Desirable Qualifications – Applicants having hands on working experience in the area
of Molecular Virology would be preferred.
