Applications are invited for the following position in a research project entitled “Study of MultiplyFortified Salt among Women of Reproductive Age in India”

Duration – 06 months (extendable)

Terms & Conditions –

1. The post is purely temporary. Employment will automatically terminate upon
   completion/termination of the project and there is no liability for permanent employment on PGIMER Chandigarh or Principal Investigator or funding agency.
2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date, time and venue of the interview will be informed to the candidate by E-mail/SMS.
3. Any application received after the expiry of the vacancy notice will not be entertained.

Emoluments (Monthly) – Commensurate with qualification and experience.

Essential Qualification – Bachelor’s in Public Health /social sciences/Life sciences or equivalent.

Desirable –

• Master’s in nutrition/Public health/life science or equivalent
• Experience of 1-2 years of conducting research in a rural community-based setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The candidate should have a valid driving license of a four-wheeler and he/she would be able to drive a car in the field/interior village.

Note:

• Preference will be given to local female candidates having extensive knowledge of regional food preparation methods in rural areas in Punjab.
• Candidate should have sound knowledge of Punjabi (written as well as verbal)
• Candidate should be comfortable working long hours in a rural field setting.
