WALK-IN-INTERVIEW/ WRITTEN TEST /SKILL TEST
The Walk-in-Interview/Written Test/Skill Test for filling up the posts i.e. Assistant Director-02, Assistant Research Officer-01, Laboratory Assistant-02, Laboratory Technician-02 & Field Worker-02 for the project “Genomic Monitoring of COVID-19 through Waste Water Surveillance” at the Enterovirus Division that are to be filled purely on a contract basis for a period of one year, is to be held at NCDC, 22-Sham Nath Marg (Near Civil Line Metro Station), Delhi- 110 054, as under:-
Post I
Name of the Post – Assistant Research Officer
No. of Posts – 01
Consolidated remuneration per month (Rs.): 32000/-approx. as per prevailing Norms of minimum wage act of Min. of labour) (No other allowance is permissible)
Date of Screening Test: 13.09.2022
Date of Skill test : 14.09.2022
Age limit: Not more than 30 years (as of 31 August 2022)
Essential:
Graduate in Science/ relevant subjects/ from a recognized university with five years of work experience from a recognized institution or a Master’s degree in the relevant subject.
Desirable:
- M.Sc. Microbiology/ Life Science/ Biotechnology.
- Work experience in Microbiology laboratory.
- Experience in Molecular work.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
Post II
Name of the Post – Laboratory Technician
No. of Posts – 02
Consolidated remuneration per month (Rs.): 20000/-approx. as per prevailing Norms of minimum wage act of Min. of labour) (No other allowance is permissible)
Date of Screening Test: 13.09.2022
Date of Skill test: 14.09.2022
Age limit: Not more than 25 years (as of 31 August 2022)
Essential:
- B. Sc. In MLT from a recognized university OR
- 10+2 in Science subject with DMLT 2 years course from recognized university/Institute.
Desirable:
- M.Sc. Microbiology/Life Science/ Biotech.
- Work experience in Microbiology laboratory.
- Knowledge of Computer applications.
Post III
Name of the Post – Assistant Director
No. of Posts – 02
Consolidated remuneration per month (Rs.): 67,700/- (No other allowance is permissible)
Date of Screening Test: 16.09.2022
Age limit: Not more than 40 years (as of 31 August 2022)
Essential:
- Master’s degree (MSc/MVSc./ MD) in Biotechnology/ Molecular biology/ Microbial genetics/ Organic chemistry/ Microbiology OR Zoology with Cell biology or Human genetics as a special subject OR Life sciences with specialization in Molecular biology/Microbial genetics/ Cell biology or Genetics from a recognized University.
- At least 7 years of experience after Master’s degree OR 3-year experience after MD degree OR one year experience after PhD degree in the field of molecular biology related to human/ animal health, genomics and/or proteomics research, molecular diagnostics, molecular epidemiology and applied innovations in various aspects of infectious disease or other similar areas as evident from publications in journals of high international repute.
Desirable:
- Candidates holding PhD degrees.
- Sound knowledge of computer applications in the analysis of molecular data.
OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- The appointment is purely on a contract basis for a period of one year.
- The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side by giving one month’s notice or by paying one-month salary, without assigning any reason or failure to complete three months to the satisfaction of the competent authority.
- The appointee shall perform the duties assigned to him/ her. The competent authority reserves the right to assign any duty as and when required. No extra /additional allowance will be admissible in case of such assignment.
- The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Govt. servants appointed on regular basis.
- The appointment shall be on the whole time appointment of the Institution and shall not accept any other appointment, paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in the private practice of any kind during the period of contact.
- The appointee is not entitled to any TA for joining the appointment.
- Other conditions of service will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued from time to time.
- If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her proves to be false or if he/she is found to have willfully suppressed any material information he/she will be liable for removal from service and also such other action Government may deem necessary.
Eligible candidates fulfilling the educational qualification, experience etc. as mentioned above may appear for the Walk-in-interview/ Written Test/ Skill Test on the above-mentioned dates/ time at National Centre for Disease Control, 22-Sham Nath Marg; Delhi -110 054 (Near Civil Line Metro Station). The eligible candidates may register their names for interviews between 10.00 A.M to 11.00 A.M. along with a resume original certificate, one passport size photograph and their attested copies.
The eligible candidate may register their names for interview between 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM along with a resume, original certificates, one passport size photograph and their attested copies. Registration will be closed at 11.00 A.M sharp. Candidates reporting after 11.00 AM will not be entertained. Candidates without original documents will also not be entertained. The candidate must ensure their eligibility as per the above Terms of Reference, before appearing for Walk-in-interview/ Written Test/ Skill Test.
