Facility Assistant-Sanger Sequencing(NGGF)
JOB PROFILE: The Next Generation Genomics Facility (NGGF) at the Bangalore Life Science Cluster(BLiSc) has an opening for a Facility Assistant to manage the Sanger Sequencingequipment and associated peripherals located in the core facility.The Sanger Sequencing facility is equipped with ABI 3730 sequencer.
The job responsibilities for the position include (1) Assure that the facility runs smoothly, efficiently and cost-effectively (2) Provide training to new users (students and other researchers of BLiSc, in sample preparation, data collection and data analysis).
NO. OF POSITIONS: One (1)
Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate is expected to have M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life sciences or equivalent and at least 1 or 2 years of experience in Sanger sequencing sample preparation, running the sequencing and genotyping samples on the Sanger sequencing platform, data collection and data analysis. It is essential that a candidate is a well-organized individual with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
