Name of the Project – “Effect of digital (mHealth) and paper-based self-management educational interventions on quality of life of patients with common chronic respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) – A mixed-methods
pragmatic, randomized controlled trial”
Duration & Tenure – The project post is purely on a contract basis for up to one year (extendable up to two years based on the performance), or until completion of the project. Those selected shall have no claim for regular appointment (under SERB, PGIMER, or any other project) or any other entitlements other than the salary.
Age – Below 35 years (5 years relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates).
The post is primarily based in Ambala, Haryana for which no separate TA/DA is admissible other than the consolidated salary.

In case the number of shortlisted applicants is large, only those having any desirable qualifications (as mentioned above) will be called for an interview.The interview has been provisionally scheduled for 13th July 2022. The short-listed candidates will be intimated about the time and place of the interview via email. The interview will be conducted in physical mode following COVID-19 appropriate protocols. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview. Any applicant reporting late will not be assessed further.
Emoluments – As per SERB guidelines.
Essential Qualification – Postgraduate in Life Sciences with cleared National Eligibility Tests (NET) for Junior Research Fellow like CSIR, UGC, GATE, ICMR, DBT, PGIMER, and others with a minimum of TWO years of experience as a Fellow.
Desirable Qualifications – Experience in working in the community setting, rural and urban areas.
Nature of Duty – Designing the intervention; pre-test and pilot study of the invention; interview and collection of data from the study participants at their home or at the hospital; adherence to all guidelines in completing the study; follow up of the patients as per schedule and collection of qualitative data; submission of weekly progress report, support in organizing training/workshops; data entry on the computer; data analysis, preparation; and submission of the project reports; provision of assistance in obtaining necessary administrative and financial approvals and other works related to project assigned by the principal investigator from time to time. To execute the job responsibilities, extensive travel to various parts of the project area will be needed routinely.
