Applications are invited for the post of Medical Officer, Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Senior Project Research Fellow, and Junior Research Fellow (JRF), in the Ministry of AYUSH, funded Center of Excellence project to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi110070, India.
Project Title – “Effects of Indian Foods and Ayurvedic Drugs on Healthy and Diseased Liver”

Duration – 3 years (initial contract appointment will be only for 1 year, which will be extended based

For Post I
Essential –
- NET/GATE qualification or any national eligibility test is mandatory.
- Post Graduate (M.Sc) in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physiology, Biochemistry & Biotechnology or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution + 2 year research experience.
Desirable – Post Graduate in Pharmacology with a minimum of 60% marks. With experience in Tissue fabrication, Physiology and Pharmacology In vivo studies will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities –
- Pre-clinical investigations and Development of Animal models: Handling of small Laboratory animal-Mice and Rats. Invivo toxicity and efficacy analysis.
- Handling of biological samples-Molecular investigations
- In vitro cell culture including primary Hepatic cells & Organoids.
- Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics analysis of Natural/Herbal/Ayurvedic compounds.
- Data complication, analysis and writing of project reports and manuscripts.
Monthly Remuneration – Rs. 35000/- + HRA
For Post II
Essential – 1st class M.Sc in Nutrition / Food and Nutrition or other fields of Life Sciences, from a recognized university with minimum 2 years of research experience.
Desirable – Candidate with NET/GATE or any other equivalent National Level Examination will carry additional credit.
Job Responsibilities – Project related work
Monthly Remuneration – Rs. 18000/- plus HRA
For Post III
Essential –
- Post Graduate in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution. NET/GATE qualification or any national eligibility test is mandatory.
Desirable – M.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. Experience in size exclusion chromatography and Flow Cytometry will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities –
- To perform experiments on clinical samples, and follow up details of all patients under the guidance of PI.
- To maintain records of data related to the project
- To update data of patients
- To attend workshops related to the project
- To analyze data using advanced statistics and bioinformatics and write manuscripts.
Monthly Remuneration – Rs. 31000/- + HRA
