Applications are invited for a “Project Assistant” position in DBT funded project in the Dept. of Biological Sciences (DBS), IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal 741246. This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project mentioned above.

Salary – INR 20,000 per month plus HRA as per the rule.

Essential Qualification – MSc in Biotechnology/Zoology/Molecular biology/ Microbiology or related field in Life Sciences. Preference will be given to NET/GATE/equivalent National Level Tests qualified candidates.

Desirable Qualification – Prior experience in bacterial culture, identification and characterization. Experience in standard microbiological methods, aseptic techniques, proteomics, and cell culture techniques. In addition, candidates with experience in standard molecular biology techniques and immunological assays (ELISA, Western blot, FACS, Immunofluorescence) are desirable. Prior experience in animal experimentation (mice/chickens) will be preferred.
