About You:
We are looking for a Research Data Manager with experience in drug discovery bioassay data reporting to manage, organize and visualize chemical structures and bioactivity data for the purpose of structure activity relationship (SAR) assessments. You will leverage your knowledge, experience, and expertise in a drug discovery work environment to help optimization teams (chemists and biologist) prepare and organize data in a commercial research management platform, such as CDD Vault. You will report to the Director of Chemistry and work with cross-functional drug discovery teams towards developing novel drug candidates for various disease areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update the research data management platform with new data as soon as it is generated to help lead optimization teams iterate more quickly.
- Maintain the research data management platform to ensure it meets the needs of the team.
- Identify new ways to improve research data management (and associated processes) to expedite drug discovery milestones.
- Work directly with drug discovery colleagues to design and create data visualizations that enhance assessment and interpretation of data.
- Timely coordination with our project managers to capture and upload external CRO generated biological data.
Key Skills:
- Degree in a life science. Chemistry degree is a plus.
- Experience using a research data management tool/platform, such as CDD Vault (required).
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of drug discovery, such as drug targets and mechanisms of action (agonists, inhibitors, antagonists, etc.).
- Experience with drug discovery software (i.e. ChemDraw, SpotFire, others).
- Experience with structure activity relationship (SAR) studies is a plus.
- Experience with computational chemistry and associated 3D visualization tools is a plus.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Function productively and with the utmost integrity in a highly dynamic, fast-moving environment.
