Age limit – Must not be over 30 years on the day of the interview, which can be relaxed for certain reserved categories as per the prevailing rules of the Government of India. Relaxation in age, educational qualification or experience may be considered in the case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.

Tenure – Twelve months and may be extended on availability of fund

The meeting link will be sent to shortlisted candidates for this interview in due course.

Terms and Conditions –

1. No TA / DA since the interview will be online due to the COVID pandemic.
2. The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the said project of the funding agency.
3. The decision of the selection committee will be final.
4. If the number of candidates appearing for the online interview is large, the selection committee may decide to restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
5. The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately upon receipt of the offer.
6. The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure if performance is not deemed satisfactory

Remuneration (Consolidated) – Rs. 35000/- (Rupees Thirty-Five Thousand Only) per month

Essential Qualification – M.Sc. (in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry) Degree with a minimum of 70% marks, along with NET qualification. The candidate should have at least four years of research experience in the field of Biochemistry, supported by a published first-author paper in the SCI journal. In four years, it is desirable that the candidate worked as an SRF for at least one year. The candidate should have extensive experience in cloning, protein expression and purification, and studying enzyme kinetics and ligand binding.

examinations conducted by various Central Government Departments / Agencies are considered as National Eligibility Test (NET).

• CSIR – CSIR – UGC National Eligibility Test
• MHRD – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Joint Admission Test (JAM),
• Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)
• DBT – Biotechnology Eligibility Test & Test conducted in Bioinformatics
• By Bioinformatics National Consortium (BINC)
• DAE – JEST & JGEEBILS, NBHM
• ICMR – JRF Entrance Examination
• ICAR – Test conducted by ICAR for admission to the PhD program
• DoP – GPAT

Desired Qualification – Experience in biochemical experiments, like Isothermal Titration Calorimetry, Fluorescence-based experiments, stopped-flow fluorescence experiment, animal cell culture, Microscopy (Epi-fluorescence and confocal), and knowledge of Molecular Biology tools and techniques.
