Name of the Project – “Autism Spectrum Disorders, Genes and the Gut Microbiome: Utilizing Song Bird (Zebra Finches) as a Model System”.

Name of the Project Investigator – Prof Soumya Iyengar, Scientist VI, NBRC

Tenure – The tenure will be for a period of one year extendable to another year on performance review. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Accommodation – Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to
availability.

Age Limit – Maximum 35 years (as of the last date of receipt of application)

Application Procedure –

Candidate interested in human neuroimaging/neurophysiology, and fulfilling the following
requirements can submit duly filled in application as per attached format along with CV and self-attested copies of certificates in support of their

Note –

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
2. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for an interview.
3. Candidates are required to attach a copy of their self-attested certificates of qualification & experience in support of the claims made by them in their application, failing which their application shall summarily stand rejected without any intimation.

Emoluments –

1. ₹ 31,000/- plus HRA as per rules for those who have qualified any of the national level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions (CSIRUGC-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT / ICMR-JRF or similar).
2. ₹ 25,000/- plus HRA as per rules for those who do not fall under (1) above. No other allowances are applicable.

Essential qualification – Masters’ degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences /
MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks.

Desirable experience –

• Experience in animal handling, basic histological techniques biochemistry and microbiology will be preferred. The candidate should be highly motivated to work in an academic environment with other students and PDFs.
