Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai invites applications for engaging in Conservation
Biologists for the projects ‘Vulture Safe Zone’ and “Vulture Conservation Breeding Programme in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal and Haryana.
Essential and Desirable qualifications are as follows –
Name of the Post – Conservation Biologist
Duration – Initially for one year. The contract could be renewed if the performance of the candidate is found satisfactory
Type of Engagement – Professional Contract.
Age – The candidate should not be more than 32 years of age on the date of application.

Desirables –
- The candidates should be post-graduate in any of the mentioned disciplines – Zoology. Life Sciences, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Science.
- Candidates pursuing their PhD will not be considered
- The candidate preferably should have a driving license for two and four-wheelers.
Profile –
- Monitoring wild vulture populations
- Estimating food availability and habitat for vultures
- Monitoring the prevalence of veterinary drugs in pharmacies and cattle carcasses
- Carrying out advocacy programmes for vulture conservation with decision and policymakers and awareness programmes with local communities and other stakeholders.
The work may involve extensive travelling.
