The Animal Behaviour and Cognition Programme invite applications from eligible candidates for engagement in the following positions in a SERB funded project titled “Coping with an Invader: Understanding behavioural adaptations exhibited by the Juveniles of Deccan Mahseer in response to Alien Invasive Fishes”.

The duration of the project is 3 years. The appointments will be for an initial tenure of one (1) year extendable subject to annual performance assessment.

Qualifications & Experience Required – MFSc, MSc in Biology (any branch) /Environmental Science/ Cognitive Science/Zoology/Psychology

Desirable – Familiarity with the literature and methodologies of animal behaviour and
cognition; Acquaintance with ‘R’

Remuneration – Rs. 31,000/- + HRA @ 24% totalling to Rs. 38,440/- per month (for candidates who have qualified in CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship, Assistant Professorship or GATE), Rs.25,000/- + HRA @ 24% totalling to Rs.31,000/- per month for others
