Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following project position.

Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

No. of Posts – 01

Name of the Project – “Metabolic engineering of jute stem for lowering its lignin content and improving its fibre quality.”

Age Limit – The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as of 21.03.2022. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Eligibility – Candidates having M.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (relaxation will be given as per Govt. guideline) are eligible to apply. Candidates should have also qualified NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE.

Fellowship – Rs. 31,000/- plus at 16 percent HRA pm
