Position – Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Posts – 01 (UR)

Project Title – Online course for “Rational use of Drugs”

Place of Posting/Interview – ICMR – NIE, Chennai

Duration – Up to 14th July 2022 (extended based on performance and project extension)

Instructions to the candidates for Online Interview

1. The application should be as per the prescribed format (Annexure – A).
2. Candidates should enclose photocopies of educational qualification and experience
   and other testimonials duly self–attested along with the filled application.
3. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
   application.
4. Experience certificate should clearly state the nature of work during the period of
   employment. Appointment order, payslip will not be accepted in place of experience
   certificate. Experience certificate should contain salary per month and duration.
5. No-Objection Certificate from the current employer (for Govt./AB/PSU Servants only).
6. The above-said post is Contractual for the duration offered. The appointment may be
   renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and
   project requirement.
7. The incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under NIE/ICMR
   or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
8. TA/DA will not be paid by NIE for attending the written test/interview.
9. The Director, ICMR-NIE reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of
   posts or cancel the recruitment or re-advertise the posts, without assigning any
   reasons thereof, no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
10. Candidates are advised to check ICMR – NIE website regularly for further information
    or changes, which will be updated from time to time.
11. The date and time of the online interview will be intimated by Email separately to the eligible candidates.
12. Incomplete applications without relevant enclosures will be outrightly rejected.

For Post I

Emoluments – Rs. 54,000/- pm plus HRA

Essential Qualification –

1st class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences.

(OR)

2nd class Master’s Degree + Ph.D. in Life Sciences with eight years’ experience.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience –

• Ph.D. in relevant subjects
• Degree in MPH / MAE / M.Sc. (Epidemiology)

Nature of Duties –

• Coordinate and manage the course
• Liaison with online course partners nodal agencies and other stakeholders; run the secretariat
• Assist core faculty in conducting the course
• Work with core faculty for the training programmes of the Institute.
• Any other work assigned by PI / Supervisory Officer / Director

For Post II

Emoluments – Rs. 44,450/- per month

Essential Qualification – Master’s Degree in Life Sciences with two years experience in the relevant field.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience – Ph.D. (Life Sciences)

Nature of Duties –

• Facilitate between core faculty of the course and the student in the online forum to address queries and assignments for the course
• Assist core faculty in various training programmes of the institute
• Any other work assigned by PI/Supervisory Officer/Director
