Name of the Project – “Scientific reinvention of ethnic food and medicine from Kerala for functional food and drug development”
Name of the PI – Professor Chandrabhas Narayana
Age – Below 32 years as of March 21, 2022. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Duration – Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to three years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.

How to Apply –
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of marks obtained and scanned copies of original certificates/credentials and experience to reach the undersigned only through Email on or before March 21, 2022. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through the proper channel. The application form along with all supporting documents should be submitted as a single PDF file to [email protected]. The Advertisement number along with the position for which the candidate is applying should be mentioned in the ‘SUBJECT’ part of the Email. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.
Applications that are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need to apply. Applicants will be shortlisted for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
For Post I
Essential Qualifications –
- Good Academic records with a First Class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Food Technology.
- Two years documented experience in food processing, food technology/ Phytochemical analysis and functional food development (after Masters).
- The Candidate with a doctoral degree having relevant expertise in Food Processing and Functional food development will get preference in the selection procedure.
Emoluments – ₹ 35,000/- plus 18 percent HRA per month.
For Post II
Essential Qualifications –
- Good Academic records with a First Class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Biotechnology or Biochemistry.
- Candidates having relevant documented experience in plant Genetic Engineering and Phylogenetic analysis will get preference in the selection procedure.
Emoluments – ₹ 31,000/- plus 18 percent HRA per month.
