Name of the Project – “Reconstructing the genetic history and Bronze age human migrations in India. (Project No. CRG/2021/006762)”

Name of the PI – Dr. Niraj Rai, BSIP (Scientist- ‘D’ and PI)

Age* – Not exceeding 40 years

* Age: Relaxation is admissible for candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC category as per
Government of India rules.

Duration – Three years or co-terminus with the project.

Investigator (PI) of the above-mentioned project at [email protected] on/before 10th March 2022 by

6 pm. The short-listed candidates will be intimated subsequently to appear before the Selection Committee in person or via an online portal (e.g., Google Meet) for the interview. The incumbent shall have no implicit or explicit claim of regular absorption in any post in the Institute or in the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.

Essential Qualification – Post-Graduation in Life Science or Biotechnology from any
recognized university with a minimum of 60 percent marks at graduation and
post-graduation level.

Desirable Qualification – Experience in Computational Biology and Ancient DNA laboratory work

Fellowship – Rs. 20,000/- + 16% HRA per month
