Eligibility – Ph. D. in Biotechnology/ Life sciences or any of the allied subjects. An ideal candidate will be competent in the biophysical characterization of macromolecules and protein crystallography, as required for the project. Experience working with an in-house X-ray diffractometer and/or analytical ultra-centrifuge will be advantageous for this position. First-author publication(s) in the field of structural biology is expected. Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis and are waiting for defence/viva voce may also apply. But for such candidates, the fellowship amount will be that of an SRF until he/she defends the thesis. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
The position is initially for one year and could be extended upon satisfactory performance.
Job Specification – To carry out structural and biophysical analyses of proteins involved in infectious diseases, cancer, and plant biology.
Fellowship – Rs. 47,000/- plus at 16 percent HRA pm
