Name of the Post – Analytical Specialist – Physico Chemical Characterisation

Location – Bangalore Urban, Karnataka, India On-site

Job Description –

The team is part of the Analytical and Characterization group in RND that plays a key role in supporting the development and qualifying methods as well as supporting the process team for the development of manufacturing processes for biologics. The candidate will be part of the team and will be responsible for deliverables like Method development, Method Qualification, Characterization and sample analysis of in-process and DS samples to support the cell culture and purification CMC teams. This role requires operating in a matrix team environment of analytical and process teams. The specialist will work under supervision to plan the day–to–activities of scientists and review and analyze experimental data.

Key Responsibilities –

1. Performing Method development and Method Qualification activities independently
2. Coordinate Technical activities for specific projects in Analytical Sciences.
3. Review of data generated by scientists and review of technical documents
4. Planning, design and execution of experiments method development/POC studies and deviation investigation/management and Change Control management.
5. Compilation, trending and statistical analysis of experimental data for evaluation. Analytical thinking to modify and plan the future courses of experiments is expected.
6. Handling and troubleshooting of Analytical systems (HPLC, UV-Spectrophotometer, CE instruments)

Technical and soft-skills requirements

1. Comprehensive knowledge of chromatography theory and techniques, and protein chemistry
2. Strong communication and inter-personal skills, interpersonal, presentation, technical writing skills
3. Expertise in the Hardware and software for the instrumentation of HPLCs, UV-Spectrophotometer, CE instruments.

Education & Experience–

• BTech/MSc/MTech/PhD in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry
• The candidate should have 2 – 7 years’ experience in Analytical Sciences with Physico-chemical background.
