POSITION FOR ONE JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)

Name of the Project – Characterization of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L mutants for tolerance to flacherie syndrome through genome editing tools.

Duration of the project – October 2021-September 2023); TWO years till 07/10/ 2023

Upper Age Limit – 28 years as of the date of interview (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates).

Eligible candidates may appear for a Walk-in-Interview at the time and venue given
below with bio-data, a passport size photograph, originals of Degree/mark sheets and
one copy each of educational qualifications from 10th class to MSc, date of birth, NOC
from present employer (if employed), research experience certificate and caste certificate
for SC/ST candidates, along with valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile numbers

Important points –

1. Date of Walk-in-interview – 06th January 2022
2. Time – 10.00 AM (candidates should reach the venue by 9.30 AM for verification of
   documents).
3. Entry of candidates will be permitted only till 11 AM.
4. Venue – CENTRAL SERICULTURAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING INSTITUTE, Central
   Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Berhampore P.O., Pin: 742 101
   District – Murshidabad, West Bengal, INDIA (LANDMARK: Backside of Berhampore
   Court Railway Station).
5. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
6. The above-mentioned positions are purely temporary on a contractual basis and are coterminous with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.
7. Canvassing in any form will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
8. The decision of the Director shall be final and binding in all respects.
9. Candidates must appear for the interview on the date and time mentioned above along
   with their bio-data, a passport-size photograph and original testimonials for the interview.
10. Upon selection, the candidate has to submit Medical Fitness Certificate from a
    Government Medical Officer.

Emoluments – JRF – Rs.15000/- per month + HRA as per Central Silk Board (CSB) rules for the initial two years.

Essential Qualifications – M.Sc. in Zoology/Entomology/Life Sciences/ Sericulture/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Desirable Qualifications – Working knowledge in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, biochemical analysis and culturing of microorganisms.
