Age Limit – The upper age limit for applying for the award of Senior Project Associate shall be 40 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/OBC, Physically handicapped and women
applicants.
Duration of Fellowship – Candidate will be appointed initially for one year and after evaluation may be continued till the tenure of the project. If the work report is not satisfactory, the fellowship may be terminated before time.

Eligibility – Doctoral Degree submitted/awarded in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable – Candidates should have hands-on experience in Cell culture/Drug delivery systems/Nanomaterials synthesis/Electrochemistry.
Remuneration/Salary – The candidate will be paid as per DBT/DST guidelines for Senior Project Associate @42000+ 24% HRA
Service Conditions
DA – Senior Project Associate will not be entitled to DA.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) –
Candidates may be provided hostel accommodation wherever available. Research fellowship holders residing in hostels shall not be entitled to HRA. Wherever provision of hostel accommodation is not possible, HRA may be allowed, as per Central Government norms are applicable in the city/location where they are working. The percentage required for calculating HRA will be based on the fellowship amount.
Medical Benefits – The Senior Project Associate will be entitled to medical benefits as applicable at the University of Delhi.
Leave and other entitlements
Senior Project Associate is entitled to leave as per rules of the host institutions. Participation of Senior Project Associate in scientific events/workshops held in India or abroad will be treated as “on duty” with due approval of the host institution. The
travel entitlement for Senior Project Associate for participation in scientific events/ workshops held in India will continue to be the same as earlier i.e. 2nd AC by rail. Maternity leaves as per the Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time would
be available to female candidates in all categories.
Bonus & Leave Travel Concession – Senior Project Associate will not be entitled to these allowances.
