(A program of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for development, coordination & monitoring of biotechnology programs in the North Eastern States of India managed by DBT – Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar)

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following contractual positions under the NERBPMC program being implemented at New Delhi, India.

Name of Position – (I) Project Associate-I/Project Associate-II/Senior Project Associate/Principal Project Associate

Number of Positions – 04 (Four)

Age – The candidate should be below 35 years of age as of 25.10.2021. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per the GOI guideline.

Note: All communication will be through e-mail only. No separate call letter will be issued by the institute to the candidates by ordinary post.

Emoluments – Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Rs. 49,000/- + HRA per month (selected candidates will be offered the emoluments and position based on their experience after Master’s Degree)

Essential Qualifications – Master’s Degree in Life Sciences (2 positions)

Experience – Working experience in R&D in Industrial/Academic Institutions or Science & Technology organizations and scientific activities/ services is desirable.

Desirable –

1. Doctorate in Economics/Data analytics/Statistics/LifeSciences.
2. Should possess adequate administrative and managerial skills.
3. Should be self-motivated and able to work with a team consisting of people with different skill sets and backgrounds.
4. Strong English writing, computational and presentation skills.
5. Adequate IT skills and aptitude for financial management.
6. Strong econometric/data analytic skills will be desirable.
7. Publications in leading International/national journals and the popular press would be an advantage.

Job Profile –

1. Management of Human Resource Development, Societal-upliftment, Enterprise Development, and major Infrastructure Development programs in NER.
2. Providing accurate and effective grants administrative support to the projects being implemented in NER.
3. Any other task assigned from time to time
