Project Title: “Analysis of Mitochondrial Alterations in Glioblastoma Cells derived from Primary Culture”

Maximum age limit: Below 35 Years
Period of the post: 4 years. The initial appointment will be for 6 months which will be extendable depending on satisfactory performance.

Job Description:
- The project involves cell culture work of tumour tissue derived from glioblastoma patients along with immunohistochemistry, PCR and sequencing, western blotting, mitochondrial experiments and gamma irradiation.
- The JRF will work in the Neurooncology laboratory, under the department of
Neuropathology. The JRF should collect samples from the operation theatres, process the samples and carry out the above mentioned molecular and cell culture experiments. The JRF should also assist in carrying out diagnostic molecular testing of brain tumours.
Emoluments: Rs.25,000 plus 24 percent HRA per month
