Online applications are invited in the prescribed format available on the websites of ICMRNIMR, through link http://apply.nimr.org.in/ up to 05:00 PM by 26th August 2021 for filling up the following posts under the project entitled below on contractual basis at ICMRNIMR, Sector8, Dwarka, New Delhi. After the screening of applications, only shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview. The PI laboratory is working under a lab-to-field model and mainly focused to understand the molecular and functional correlation of genetic and nongenetic/ environmental factors affecting mosquito’s behavioural physiologies, and immunity. We are looking to select and engage highly skilled and experienced personnel to work in the below-mentioned project having translational values for vector control:

PROCEDURE FOR RECRUITMENT:

may check our website for updates related to the advertisement. - Shortlisting of candidates for interviews shall be done on basis of educational qualification and experience. However, if the number of shortlisted candidates is high and it is not feasible to call all of them, the appointing authority may fix suitable criteria for shortlisting the candidates.
- The selection of Candidates will be based on their performance in the interview.
- Candidates have to submit the duly self-attested copies of proof of their age, educational
qualifications, experiences, testimonials etc. at the time of joining if selected. - Selected candidates have to bring all the documents as mentioned above in Original for
verification.
Terms and Conditions:
- Incomplete applications or applications not submitted in prescribed format or without photo and signature or received after the last date shall be summarily rejected.
- Submission of incorrect or false information shall disqualify the candidature at any stage
of the recruitment process. - A separate application should be submitted for each post if applying for more than one post.
- The benefit of Provident Fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, CCA etc. will not
be available to the project employee. - Qualification and experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from a reputed
institution/organization recognized by a competent authority. - The experience will be counted only after completion of the minimum essential educational qualification prescribed for the post.
- The cutoff date for the age limit will be considered as on the last date of submission of the Application Form.
- No age relaxation shall be admissible against the unreserved vacancy as per Govt. of India orders.
- Age relaxation against post earmarked reserved candidates will be as per GoI norms.
- Reserved category candidates must produce their latest valid caste certificate as per
instructions issued by the DopT/GoI. - The Director, NIMR has the right to accept/ reject any application without assigning any reason thereof and no correspondence/recommendation will be entertained in this matter.
- The Director, NIMR reserves the right to fill up or not fill up any of the posts advertised on the website.

make his/her own arrangement for stay for the duration of the interview as well after joining the post, in case of selection. - Candidates already in regular service under any central/state govt/ Autonomous/ dept/PSU are not eligible to apply.
- Selected candidates will be granted Leave as per ICMR guidelines.
- The selected candidate shall be engaged initially for the duration offered and may continue further after reviewing on the basis of his/her performance and depending upon the tenure of the project, availability of funds, functional requirement.

For Post I
Consolidated Emoluments: Rs. 48,000/- plus HRA as per rules
Essential Qualification: 1st class Master’s Degree in Life Science from a recognized university with two years experience in related field OR 2nd class Master’s degree with PhD in relevant subject from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification:
- The applicant must have demonstrated a track record of research work in the field of
Insect/mosquito biology, especially functional genomics. - Having at least one first-authored publication in the indexed journal.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- The selected would be key personnel for the overall management of the project and would be responsible to carry out and manage the laboratory as well as fieldwork, collect/identify the wild mosquito species, perform laboratory-based bioassays such as insecticide susceptibility test, Plasmodium infection, and functional genomics studies to
correlate various phenotype laboratory vs. field-caught mosquitoes, if any; data analysis, presentation, Project report, article drafting, and other conceptual hypotheses/ idea contribution to the development in terms of vector control.
For Post II
Consolidated Emoluments: Rs. 35,000/- plus HRA as per rules
Essential Qualification: (Post Graduate Degree in basic science OR Post-Graduate Degree in the professional course) AND two years’ research experience.
Desirable Qualification:
- The applicant must have demonstrated a track record of research work in the field of
Insect/mosquito biology, especially functional genomics, - Preference would be given to candidates having at least one first-authored publication in the indexed journal or who have completed a PhD (at least Thesis Submitted) in the relevant field of mosquito biology.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- The selected personnel would be responsible to carry out and manage/establish mosquito inventory through preservation of wild-caught mosquitoes, rearing
of wild-caught mosquitoes, if applicable. - In addition to performing laboratory-based bioassays such as insecticide susceptibility test, Plasmodium infection, the candidate is also expected to support functional genomics studies such as tissue dissection, processing, Gene profiling, and
quality evaluation of gene profiling data, functional knockout experimentation etc.
