Advertisement for the Position of Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contract basis to

work in a time-bound SERB-DST sponsored research project (CRG/2018/002803) sanctioned to the undersigned at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Central University of Tamil Nadu.

Name of the Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Name of the Project: Molecular Characterization of the Cytochrome C Oxidase complex in
Plasmodium falciparum.

Period of Position: six months, extendable annually till the completion of the project period, subject to satisfactory performance. There is a possibility for PhD registration subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria.

Age limit: 28 years (to be relaxed as per rules of Govt. of India).

Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (NET/GATE/national level entrance exam qualified)/ plus 8percent HRA

Essential Qualifications: MSc in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular
biology/ Biotechnology / Epidemiology and Public Health and other relevant disciplines with
minimum 55% marks. The candidate should have cleared NET/GATE/national level entrance
exam.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in P. falciparum and yeast culture work, construction of plasmids, and any other relevant molecular and cell biology work experience.
