Job Title: Junior Research Fellow – (Biochemistry)

Application Instructions:

Highly motivated and eligible candidates are invited to apply for JRF positions (Leading to
PhD) at the ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad. Interested candidates may
send their CV’s along with soft copies of certificates of educational qualifications and
JRF certificate in PDF format to the Principal Investigator, Dr G.Bhanuprakash Reddy,
Scientist ‘G’ by email ([email protected] or [email protected] ). The last date for receiving applications is 13th Aug 2021 at 5:00 pm. Short-listed candidates will only be called for a personal interview/discussion with the Principal Investigator/ Academic Council of NIN.

Selection Procedure:

After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates list will be displayed on our official website

www.nin.res.in. Interviews will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates online (Video call/ Video-Conferencing) to select a suitable candidate in a later course. The candidates have to make their own arrangements for Video Call/ Video-Conferencing facilities for Online Interviews. The link will be sent to the shortlisted candidates for online interviews. The applicants are advised to visit our website regularly for any updates and changes in the recruitment process.

The candidates should bring all original ce1iificates of educational qualifications,
ICMR/CSIR/DST/DBT-NET JRF-fellowship qualified letter and caste certificate along with
a set of photocopies of the same and a latest passport size photo and complete bio-data while attending the personal discussion/interview. No T AIDA will be paid for this purpose.

General Conditions: ICMR/CSIR/DST/DBT Fellowship Rules are applicable for the above
JRF position. The selected candidate will have no right to claim any regular employment
at this Institute.

Essential qualification: 1st Class M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Nutrition/Food
science (from a recognized university) qualified with ICMR/CSIR/UGC/DST/DBT-NET JRF
exam with JRF FELLOWSHIP ONLY. CANDIDATES QUALIFIED FOR NET FOR PROJECT JRF OR LECTURESHIP ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.

Areas of research: Molecular Nutrition of age-related disorders: molecular functions of
micronutrients, biomarkers of ageing, frailty and nutritional status of elderly.
