Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc. in any type of discipline of Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks or equal grade from a recognized University/Institute.
Research Experience for DST JRF Position: Previous experience in handling metagenomic data, Linux, machine learning handling of large sequence datasets is required.
Research Experience for DBT JRF Position: A minimum of two years previous experience in handling metagenomic data, structural bioinformatics, Linux as well as R is required, OR Experience in molecular biology techniques related to genomics/ metagenomics is required. Keep in mind: The applicants for computational JRF Positions should be willing to work at IISER Mohali likewise as per the requirements of the collaborative project.
Salary for JRF Position: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + 16% HRA (= Rs. 35,960/- consolidated) for candidates with Valid CSIR NET JRF or GATE qualification will be taken into consideration for the project JRF position.
