Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following Post (on a Purely Contractual basis) under the project entitled: “Task Force in Nanomedicine” under the Division of Basic Medical Sciences. Duration: Originally for one year

Selection Procedure: Interview will be conducted with the qualified candidates after verification of the certificates. However, if even more number of candidates is found eligible for the post advertised, Written Test/ Skill Test may also be conducted on the same day for the final round of Interview as per ICMR guidelines.

Deserving candidates might send their applications in the prescribed form, duly filled in all respects along with all required supporting documents and certificates, duly self-attested, on the e-mail: [email protected] within the scheduled date as well as time for submission of applications, i.e. on or before 12th July 2021 up to 17:00 hrs. Applicant can also send their duly filled up application by post/hand by 12th July 2021 by 17:00 hours. After shortlisting Interview will certainly be conducted through Video Conferencing. Applications received within the specified date, time as well as complete in all aspects will only be screened by the testing board of ICMR to shortlist applicants for the additional process of involving the above clinical project human resources. Candidature of successful candidates shall undergo verification of all original documents by ICMR and gratification of required eligibility criteria in all aspects of qualification, age as well as experience, etc

1. Qualification/degree should be from a recognized Institution/University.
2. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/ experience does not ensure selection. The cut-off date for the age limit will certainly be as on the date of the last date for submission of applications. Age relaxation will certainly be as per the guidelines of ICMR. Reserved category applicants have to produce their latest Caste Validity Certificate. OBC
   candidates must possess the latest valid non-creamy layer certificate. PWD applicants shall produce the latest disability certification issued by a Medical Board of Government hospital with not less than 40% disability.
3. Canvassing in any form will certainly be a disqualification.
4. Late/ Delayed/ Incomplete/ Unsigned applications will certainly not be considered and also rejected straight away without any correspondence.
5. No TA/ DA will be paid either for attending the written test/interview or joining the post.
6. Project Human Resource will not have any kind of claim on a regular post in ICMR or in any of its Institutes/Centers or in any kind of Department of Government of India and their project term with breaks or without breaks in any type of or multiple projects will certainly not confer any right for additional assignment or transfer to any other
   project or appointment/ absorption/ regularization of service in financing agency or in ICMR. Benefits of Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, Staff Quarters as well as other facilities applicable to the regular staff of ICMR etc. are not admissible to the project human resource. Leave will be according to the ICMR’s policy for project human resources.
7. ICMR reserves the right to terminate the project human resource also during the agreed contract period or extended contract period without assigning any kind of reason.
8. Persons currently in regular time scale service under any kind of Government Department/Organization are not eligible.
9. The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/ reject any kind of application without assigning any reason(s) and no correspondence in this matter will certainly be entertained.
10. ICMR reserves the right to cancel/modify the process at any time, at its discretion.

Qualification:

Essential Qualifications:

Graduate in Science/ pertinent subjects from a recognized university with 3 years of work
experience in the relevant subject
Or
Master’s degree in the pertinent subject (Life Sciences/ any other Biological sciences from
a recognized university.

Desirable:

1. Previous experience of working in Health Research as evidenced from publications.
2. Good knowledge of Computer Applications including Microsoft Office.

Job Description

1. Prep work of annual reports/data collation/manuscripts
2. Coordination of activities of Nanomedicine Taskforce
3. Participate & add to project review meetings, etc.
4. Other relevant work assigned by the program officer
