Name of the Project: “Mitigation of human-elephant conflict in and around Rajaji Tiger Reserve with emphasis on mitigation strategies during Kumbh 2021”.
Duration: 10 months
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on date on Interview
How to Apply:
The selection of the applicants will be in accordance with the performance in the interview as well as in the order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents need to be produced at the time of the interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to qualification, work experience, acceptance or rejection of the application will certainly be final and also binding on the applicants and also no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.

The tenure in the project will be governed by the Institute’s rules and also regulations.

Essential Qualification: Minimum of 60 % Marks in M.Sc. in Life Science and
other biological sciences with a minimum of four years of research experience.
Desirable Qualification: Preference will certainly be given to applicant willing to carry out rigorous fieldwork under harsh conditions. Prior experience of working in various other research project involving herbivore/carnivores in the Terai-Arc Landscape will be an added advantage.
Work Description: The Project Associate will work with the Project Biologist and the field team in radio-collaring, monitoring elephant populations, conduct field data collection, analyze and write the report for the project and coordinate with concerned officials of Uttarakhand Forest Department.
Emoluments: Rs. 35,000 plus HRA
