Applications are invited online for the following post under DST funded research project at ICARIndian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, Kerala. The positions are of short-term nature and coterminus with the project. Title of Project: “Aflatoxin management in spices: development of preventive methods and novel detection devices”
Period: Two years or project duration completion whichever is earlier.
Upper age limitation: 35 years for men and
40 years for women as of the date of the interview. Age relaxation based on Government of India rules.How to Apply:

- The selected candidate will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against any type of regular post being vacant on a later date at this Institute.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.

- The decision of the Director, ICAR- IISR would certainly be final and binding in all aspects.
- Applicants who secure the minimum marks prescribed by the Institute on screening of application just will be eligible for attending the interview. The number of candidates to be called for the interview will be decided by the Director of the Institute.
- Those who do not have proof of Age and Educational Qualifications will certainly not be permitted to attend the Interview.

Location of ICAR IISR Kozhikode Main Campus -Pallithazham bus stop between Moozhikkal East and Chelavoor on the NH 212 “Kozhikode – Kollegal” Road.
Qualifications:
- Postgrad in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Microbiology with a NET qualification from CSIR/ UGC or GATE OR chosen via a national level examination conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institution such as DST, DBT, DARE, DRDO, DOS, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER etc.
- Two years of research experience.
Nature of Work:
Work involves the development of management strategies for aflatoxin menace in chilly and nutmeg for which biochemical, microbiological and biotechnological approaches will be utilized. Storage studies of spices during aflatoxin management will certainly additionally be carried out.
Emoluments: Rs 35000/ month And also HRA at 16 percent for the 1st and 2nd year;
