The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of
Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, in the field of wildlife
research, teaching and training. The Institute invites application from the Indian nationals
for the position of Project Scientist (02), Junior Research Fellow (04), Senior Research
Fellow (01), Junior Project Fellow (08), Senior Project Associate (01) Project Associate (05), Project Fellow (4), Junior Technical Assistant (05), Research Assistant (05), Laboratory Assistant (01) through a Qualifying test followed by Interview(s). Details of the positions along with essential and desirable qualifications, a brief description of work, age criteria and monthly fellowships are given in Annexure-1.
How to Apply:
All candidates are required to apply online. Online submission of application will be allowed
on the
05.09.2020. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted. Candidates are required to visit the link provided for filling ONLINE application and fill up the personal details/BIO-DATA, fees etc. carefully. Before filling the application online, candidates should keep ready a scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature in jpg/jpeg format (Photo size less than 500 KB and signature size less than 200 KB). Candidates should ensure that the relevant details viz. Name, Date of Birth, Address, etc. entered in application form should be correct.
Candidates who have qualified UGC-CSIR NET JRF Fellowship exam, and have an active fellowship period, may be allowed to directly appear for the interview of advertised posts, subject to successful verification of documents pertaining to essential qualification of the applied post. The qualification of the UGC-CSIR – NET JRF- Fellowship exam does not entitle a student for direct recruitment for the post or guarantee registration of PhD. This exam is deemed to be sole of qualifying in nature, in lieu of the exam conducted by WII. The merit and aptitude of these students will be decided based on their interview. Such candidates are required to apply online compulsorily.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR Govt Research Personnel Recruitment
a. The duration of the qualifying test will be 90 minutes. The question paper contains
Essay. Qualifying eligibility marks will be as per UGC norms.
b. The fee paid once, will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates should
satisfy themselves that they fulfil all the eligibility norms including educational
qualification(s) as on date of submission of the application can apply.
c. Candidates are advised to give specific, correct and complete information. STUDENTS
APPEARING FOR FINAL YEAR EXAMINATIONS WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO
APPLY. All original certificates/documents in support of information furnished in the
application form are to be produced at the time of interview at Wildlife Institute of India,
Dehradun, failing which the candidate will be disqualified for appearing in interview. Candidature of the candidates is liable to be rejected at any stage of the admission process
or after admission if any information provided by the candidates is found to be false
or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
d. For getting the benefit of reservation under OBC category, the name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the central list of Other Backward Classes
(OBC) available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website www.ncbc.nic.in. The candidate must not belong to creamy layer. Candidates seeking reservation as OBC will have to submit at the time of the interview, caste certificate, ONLY in the prescribed format issued from the designated authority indicating clearly the candidate’s caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as OBC and the Village/Town the candidates are ordinarily resident of. The OBC candidates must ensure that they possess the latest Non-Creamy layer certificate issued by the designated authority. A certificate containing any variation in the caste name will not be accepted.
PAYMENT OF APPLICATION FEE FOR Govt Research Personnel Recruitment
- Applicants/candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- per
project. - Rs. 45/- extra would be charged as service charges of online payment. Hence the total amount to be paid for registration is Rs. 545/- (Five hundred forty-five only)
- Candidates are required to make the application fee payment through debit card/credit
card/net-banking (service charges apply for all banks will be borne by the candidates).
The candidates will be automatically/redirected to make online payment (wherever fee
is applicable) once the form is successfully completed. No other mode of payment will
