Project Title: Understanding the role of SARS-CoV-2 virulence factor-Orf3a in
modulating host cell responses: a way to identify host-directed therapy
Project Outline: The project aims to characterize the virulence factor-Orf3a of SARSCoV-2 and how this protein regulates host cell responses. The project would certainly use
experimental approaches in mammalian cell culture, microscopy, molecular biology, and
biochemistry.

- Prior research experience/hands-on training in mammalian cell culture, microscopy, molecular biology including cloning and data analysis abilities is essential.
