Applications are welcomed to attend “Interview (in-person/ online through video conferencing)” for the following posts under a DBT funded network project “Mainstreaming of Sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery” Sub – Project 3 (Component 5: Sesame Phyllody) at ICAR- IARI, New Delhi as mentioned below.

Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, candidates may choose for interview either in- person or through an online process. The eligible candidates to send their application in the enclosed proforma along with a self-attested scanned copy of the original documents to the email addresses as given below latest by July 20, 2020. After screening the applications, the eligible applicants will certainly be informed about the details of the on-line interview (Date as well as Time) by e-mail. Original documents will certainly be verified at the time of appointment. How to Apply:

1. Applicants are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. prior to appearing for the interview.

7. Candidates are needed to bring the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc in original along with an application with complete bio-data enclosing copies of certificates and also mark sheets from enrollment onwards properly confirmed attaching a key dimension photo on the top. The selected candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate at the time of joining.
8. If already working, NOC from the present employer is a must.
9. Only the applicants having essential qualifications would certainly be entertained for the interview.
10. The interview of qualified candidates for both the post of the project will be held on July’ 27, 2020 at 10.30 am for Project Associate and at 2.30 pm for the Scientific Asst position in the Committee room, Div Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi.
11. The candidates are required to send the application at the time of interview in the format annexed in addition to the declaration as affixed.
12. Both the post will be filled up for one year and will be renewed for next year after the satisfactory progress of the applicants.

Upper age limit: 35 years.

Salary: Rs. 31,000 (Ist and IInd Year) plus 24 percent HRA (Ist and IInd Year) and
Research Associate II Rs. 35,000 plus 24 percent HRS (3rd, 4th,& 5th year)

Essential Qualifications: Master’s/ M. Tech Degree in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Pathology/Entomology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences or related subjects from a recognized University or equivalent with three years’ research experience.

Desirable Qualification:

• Experience in PCR analysis, Bioinformatics tool, area collection of samples, RFLP analysis, transmission assays, maintenance of phytoplasma culture will certainly be given priority.
• A minimum of 1 or 2 Research Publications in high impact ISI journals.
