Laboratory for Stem Cell & Restorative Neurology at Department of Biotechnology, Era’s Lucknow Medical College & Hospital, Era University, Lucknow invites applications from JRF’s (CSIR/ICMR/DBT/DST INSPIRE) in an ongoing collaborative project between Dr. Syed Shadab Raza and Dr. Avril Robertson, The University of Queensland, Australia on “Molecular mechanism of inflammasome mediated cell death in brain injury and its inhibition by novel inhibitors” e.g. MCC950 (Nature Medicine, 2014; Avril Robertson).
The project presents an unique and exciting opportunity to work on Mesenchymal Stem Cell (mouse & Human), Macrophages, Astrocyte, Neuronal cell culture, co-culture, Protein Expression (Western, ICC/IF/IHC, Elisa), Gene expression (qRT- PCR), SiRNA/ShRNA or/and CRISPR/CAS9, Lentiviral preparation, transfection, transduction, cloning, plasmid preparation, creating stroke and/or spinal cord injury rodent model, neurobehavioral studies etc.

Job Title : JRF/RA
Eligibility : M.Sc. with 60% in any branch of Life Science (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Zoology etc.) with CSIR/ICMR/DBT/DST-Inspired fellowship.
Candidates without any fellowship can apply for Research Assistant (R.A.) position, but should have atleast 1 year of molecular biology experience (Western Blot, IF/ICC/IH, qRTPCR etc). Those
who do not hold any fellowship or neither has 1 year research experience need NOT to apply.The project is expected to carry on for atleast 3 years, thus the successful candidate will have an ample opportunity to get enrol in Ph.D. Programme of the university. Also, applicant should be willing to move to our collaborators lab in Australia, if needed
