Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Lab Technicians at State Laboratory for Livestock Marine and Agri Products (SLMAP), Nettoor, Ernakulam on contract basis. Interested persons with the required qualification and experience may appear for the walk-in interview at 10.30 am on Thursday 17 th November 2016 at District Veterinary Centre, Ramavarma Club Road,,Ernakulum. Candidates should submit the application in the prescribed format with all original certificates to prove age, qualification and experience at the time of interview.
Position 1: Laboratory Technician – Molecular Biology Laboratory
Qualification:
- Postgraduate in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Molecular biology
- Experience in PCR based DNA amplification assays.
Job description:

- Sample preparation
- DNA extraction
- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and related techniques
Jurisdiction: SLMAP, Nettoor, Ernakulam, Job also involves travelling for sample collection

Consolidated pay– Rs.20,000/- per month
Position 2: Laboratory Technician – Chemical Laboratory
Qualification: Postgraduate in Chemistry (Preferably postgraduate in analytical chemistry or having experience in a chemical lab)
Job description: Trace level analytical techniques
1. Sample collection 2. Sample preparation for antibiotics testing 3. Instrumental analysis 4. Residue analysis

Consolidated pay : – Rs.20,000/- per month
For both the above positions, postings are purely on contract basis, for a period of 179 days or up to 31-3-2016, whichever is earlier and will be governed by the rules and regulations prescribed by Govt of Kerala.

Walk in Interview for Contract Lab Technicians
The State Lab is conducting walk in interview for the post of one Lab Technician each, on contract basis, for its molecular biology lab and chemistry lab. The essential qualification is post graduate in Biotechnology and Chemistry.
