Job description :
- Performs laboratory experiments related to development of robust downstream processes for manufacturing of human therapeutic proteins produced in recombinant eukaryote and prokaryote cells.
- Designs, executes, and analyses experiments at laboratory scale with the help of mathematical models.
- Develops and characterizes scaled-down models for downstream unit operations.
Possesses knowledge of and experience with all types of chromatography, crystallization, centrifugation and filtration techniques. - Possesses knowledge of and experience with protein analytical techniques such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, UV/VIS/fluorescence spectroscopy, etc, and is familiar with scientific and biotechnology industry literature.
- Responsible for accurate laboratory data entry, lab maintenance and upkeep, and report writing.
- Supports identification and optimization of alternative laboratory methods and/or equipment to improve work efficiency and throughput.
