The project is to understand the molecular aspects of kidney disease. This involves characterizing cellular and circulating/ soluble factor in clinical samples derived from the kidney disease patients. This study would include various molecular and cellular techniques (FACS, ELISA, qPCR, cell culture, NGS, etc.) that will allow us to understand the role of molecular or cellular factors involved in development and progression of kidney disease in children. The project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, under the scheme of Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship.
Core Responsibilities : Specific tasks will be assigned based on skills & project needs.
Specific Activities:
- Collecting and Processing of clinical and biological samples for Flow Cytometry, Real-Time PCR, MagPix and ELISA analyses
- Handling above instruments to obtain relevant data
- Performing NGS-based experiments
- Data compilation, interpretation and analysis
- PowerPoint presentation and manuscript preparation
- Active involvement in planning and implementing the project work along with other lab members
Key Skills Required :
- Candidate should be ready to learn new techniques
- Candidate having experience in processing blood cells, cell culture or any molecular techniques will be preferred
