Qualification
- Candidates holding a Master’s degree (with at least 55% marks) in Natural Sciences/Agriculture/Life Sciences/Plant Biology/Botany are eligible to apply.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Agronomy or equivalent, fulfilling the guidelines as per DST-OM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020.
Job Description
The selected candidate will engage in research activities that include growing crop plants like chickpea and phenotyping under field-mimic and field conditions. Responsibilities will involve crop cultivation, crop protection, image- and sensor-based data collection, as well as routine maintenance and implementation of external projects for the SPROUT (SpeedSeed Phenotyping and Resource Optimization for Unified Trait-analysis) facility under rapid generation advancement/speed breeding conditions. This position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
