Job Description
The selected candidate in this NII research scientist vacancy is expected to work in a collaborative project between NII and AIIMS, New Delhi, to study the effect of Montelukast in reducing dengue severity. The candidate will examine the immune profile, perform immune cell phenotyping, measure T cells specific to the Dengue virus, antibody quantitation, and serum-cytokine levels. Most of the work will involve PBMCs and serum collected at multiple time points from the study participants. Interested candidates should possess basic concepts of cellular immunology and skills in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience in Flow Cytometry, blood processing, and PBMC isolation.
- Cell sorting and cell culture techniques.
- Conducting ELISA, virus serotyping, Real-Time PCR, and Bioinformatics analysis.
- Collaborating with team members on clinical immunology research of infectious diseases.
Eligibility Criteria
- PhD in any area of Life Sciences or a Master’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with first author publications in reputed journals.
