Job Description
The Junior Research Fellow will assist in the design and execution of experiments related to CAR-T cell generation and epigenetic modifications. Responsibilities include conducting cell culture, flow cytometry, and molecular biology experiments, as well as participating in data analysis and interpretation. The fellow will also assist in maintaining laboratory records and reports.
JRF Vacancy Eligibility Criteria
- Masters Degree in Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, Life Science or related fields.
- NET-JRF or equivalent National-Level fellowship examination qualification is desirable.
Required Skills
- Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in maintaining T cell cultures and working with lentiviral vectors.
- Knowledge of flow cytometry and basic skills in data analysis software (e.g., FlowJo).
- Experience with PCR, DNA extraction, and cloning techniques.
- Familiarity with CRISPR/Cas9 or other gene editing tools.
- Desirable Skills:
- Experience with mouse models, specifically xenograft models for cancer research.
- Basic understanding of bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
Salary
The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications and experience. For this NII Delhi JRF position, the monthly salary will be Rs. 37,000/- plus 30% HRA (as per funding agency norms).
