Job Description
The Medical Writer at Excelya is responsible for producing high-quality medical writing deliverables, including regulatory and medical communication documents. This clinical writing role involves drafting essential reference documents for clinical studies and collaborating with healthcare professionals, project managers, and statisticians to ensure the accuracy and compliance of all produced materials. The Medical Writer will contribute significantly to the clinical research field, making a meaningful impact through their work.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform redaction of clinical and regulatory documents in accordance with applicable transparency regulations, company policies, and project-specific requirements.
- Review clinical documents to identify personal data and commercially confidential information requiring protection prior to disclosure.
- Apply approved redaction strategies and maintain consistency across disclosure packages.
- Write and edit complex medical writing deliverables (including narratives, Investigator Brochures, INDs) in accordance with sponsors’ and Excelya’s SOPs, guidelines, and applicable legislation.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of all information, data, and references included in the produced publications/documents, maintaining high standards of scientific quality.
- Liaise with other functional groups or departments (e.g., data management, statistical programming, biostatistics, project management) to ensure timely delivery and quality of writing deliverables.
- Acknowledge and comply with sponsors’ and Excelya’s SOPs, guidelines, and appropriate local and international legislation.
- Review statistical analysis plans and table/figure/listing specifications for appropriate content, grammar, format, and consistency.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: University graduate in life sciences or equivalent (post-graduate studies in a related field are considered a plus).
- Experience: Relevant experience of up to 1 year in the medical writing field is considered a plus.

- Advanced level of English
- Strong knowledge of ICH regulations and CONSORT, STROBE, and PRISMA guidelines

- Languages: Fluency in English (mandatory).
