Key Responsibilities
- Cell-based assay development (optimization, validation, and compound screening) under the guidance of group leaders.
- Enzyme-based assay development (optimization, validation, and compound screening).
- In vitro assay development, validation, and optimization of cell-based and enzyme-based assays for various therapeutic targets.
- Working extensively in functional cell-based assays to validate the activity of new chemical entities (NCEs).
- Responsible for writing protocols, uploading data, and maintaining lab notebook records.
- Analysis of experimental data using GraphPad PRISM for statistical analysis and graphing.
- Designing experiments, executing calculations, performing data analysis, and reporting results to project teams.
- Adhering to safety guidelines in the lab and assisting the lab head in developing new protocols.
- Following ethical guidelines for assay validation, data analysis, and maintenance.
- Collaborating in a team environment to enhance productivity.
- Exhibiting a strong desire to learn new skills in the respective research area.
Desirable Qualification
Masters in Biology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Any life sciences stream
Experience Required
- Experience in a drug discovery industry/CRO in in vitro research.
- Working experience of tissue culture and cell culture techniques.
- Hands-on experience in designing and executing in vitro assays in CNS, metabolic disorders, autoimmune, inflammatory diseases, pain, and oncology therapeutic areas in drug discovery.
- Skilled in handling mammalian cell lines.
- Expertise in western blotting and ELISA.
