Job Description
The Plant Quality Laboratory Specialist will manage routine activities in the microbiology laboratory, conduct environmental monitoring, and oversee validation and calibration activities. This role is essential for ensuring the timely completion of microbiology analyses of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. The specialist will also ensure compliance with food safety standards and contribute to the overall quality assurance processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of microbiology analysis for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
- Oversee inventory management of reagents and microbiological media.
- Participate in compliance with ISO 17025 and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Engage in proficiency testing as per the annual plan.
- Support the cleaning validation program and conduct necessary analyses.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and deliver results promptly.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders for relevant validations.
- Implement standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Post-graduate in Food Science/Microbiology/Food Technology.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience, preferably in the FMCG or Food Manufacturing Industry.
Required Skills
- Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- ISO 17025-Internal Auditor Course.
- Food Safety/HACCP knowledge.
- FSSC 22000 certification.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI & AI Tools.
- Understanding of 5S and Kaizen methodologies.
