Job Description
The selected candidate for the JRF position at NIAB will engage in cutting-edge research focused on understanding how Theileria parasites influence host gene expression. This molecular biology JRF position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant advancements in animal biotechnology, particularly in areas related to epigenomics and cancer biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on Theileria parasites and their impact on host gene expression.
- Utilise molecular biology techniques to analyse data and draw conclusions.
- Collaborate with team members and report findings to the Principal Investigator.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and results.
- Participate in lab meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Assist in preparing research papers and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory.
- Support other research activities as required by the project.
Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholarships through National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The selection process is through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions as per DST Guidelines.
Desired Experience: Candidates with experience in epigenomics, cancer biology, molecular biology, cell culture, and bioinformatics will be given preference.

Experience certificates must be issued by the Head of the Department/Office.
