• As you mentioned phd is better option in my perspective phd is better to those people who really passionate about research and it is a long term process and slow but we like the genz we don't have that much patience to do phd after getting into a job or holding a scientist position now the trend is totally changed even though you hold phd you can get maximum 50k only not beyond that but as a fresher who started his or her career after msc they may be earn low in the initial 1 to 2 years but after gaining experience 1 or 2 year he or she can earn more than a phd candidate earnings and one more thing in phd you are gaining academic research experience 5 to 7 years of phd is less weightage compared to the he or she work in the industry 1 to 2 years he has industry experience people will value more than who has industry experience instead you hold academic research or phd and interms of money also he or she can earn more money than the phd candidate in this generation current scenario money matters more than a role what you are doing people will not care about their profession he or she are doing but they care about the money most and society as well — Abdul Mubarak

In short: Job = low income at start, high pressure, many tasks, slow growth PhD = stipend income (sometimes project funds too), less daily pressure, deep expertise in one area, "scientist" title, respect in the research field, and chances to go abroad You also said people only care about money, not profession. But a PhD gives both respect and better long-term income. A scientist or researcher is valued in society, and their expertise opens doors a normal job cannot. So PhD is not just about "no workload". it is about building deep skill that pays off later, in money and in respect.
