- Minimum Educational Qualification: M.Sc or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or related areas
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in fly husbandry and maintenance will be preferred.
- Tenure of the Appointment: Initially for a period of 6 months, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Job Requirement
In this IISER Pune career role, the incumbent is expected to take care of the following work:
- Daily management and study of drosophila stocks and crosses.
- Fly food preparation.
- Assisting researchers in drosophila handling and stock maintenance.
- Coordinate day-to-day laboratory activities and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Consolidated Emoluments per Month
Rs. 40,000/-
Age as on the date of Walk-in Interviews
Not more than 36 years. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.

- Mark sheets and certificates (starting from 10th onward) regarding educational qualification

General Information
- The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation.
- The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in IISER Pune.
- The prescribed date for determining the upper age limit, educational qualifications, or experience shall be the last date for submitting applications.
- The prescribed educational qualification should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
- The prescribed educational qualification/s are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview.
- Number of posts may vary depending upon the requirements during the selection process.
- The experience requirement may be relaxed based on the cohort of applications received, with the prior approval of the competent authority.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
