| 1 | The engagement is purely temporary, contractual, time-bound and co-terminus with the project. It shall not confer any right or claim whatsoever on the selected candidate for regular appointment, absorption or continuation in ICAR/IARI at any stage. |
| 2 | Duration: The initial engagement will be made for one year, which is extendable for two more years subject to satisfactory performance, continuation of the project, availability of funds and in accordance with the concerned ICAR guidelines. The work progress of the selected candidate shall be reviewed by the Principal Investigator every six months. |
| 3 | Emoluments: The emoluments are fixed and consolidated. However, TA/DA will be admissible to YPs for undertaking domestic tours for official work as per the concerned ICAR rules. |
| 4 | Age Limit: The minimum age under the Young Professional category will be 21 years and the maximum 45 years, with relaxation as per rules. |
| 5 | The competent authority reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all of the positions, or to cancel or postpone the walk-in interview, without assigning any reason. The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially for up to 30-09-2026, which may be extended periodically subject to performance till the termination of the project. |
| 6 | Only candidates having the essential qualifications will be interviewed. |
| 7 | Candidates must compulsorily bring the duly filled-in application form, two passport-size photographs, all original testimonials including proof of date of birth, mark sheets, degree certificates, category/PwBD certificate, experience certificates, training certificates and publications, if any, along with one set of self-attested photocopies and a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID. The candidate shall maintain confidentiality of project data and test results handled in the laboratory and shall have no claim over the data, material, know-how or intellectual property generated during the tenure, which shall vest with ICAR-IARI. |
| 14 | A candidate intending to appear in the interview must declare in writing in Annexure-II if any of his/her near or distant relatives is an employee of ICAR/IARI, along with the relative’s name, designation, nature of duties and relationship. |
| 15 | No separate call letter or interview intimation will be issued. |
| 16 | Candidates are advised to visit the Institute website www.iari.res.in regularly for any corrigendum, addendum or change in the date, time or venue of the walk-in interview. |
| 17 | No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. |
| 18 | Leave shall be admissible only as per the ICAR guidelines applicable to Young Professionals, on a pro-rata basis. No other leave or encashment of leave is permissible. |
| 19 | The terms and conditions for appointment of Young Professionals will be governed by ICAR Office Memorandum F. No. Agril. Edn. Edn.-1-06/2020-A&P dated 04.12.2020 and extant guidelines as and when issued in this regard. |
| 20 | Any dispute arising out of this advertisement or the selection process shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi. |
| 21 | Notwithstanding anything contained hereinabove, the terms and conditions shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), as amended from time to time. |
