1. Research Associate – I
- Emoluments: Rs. 58,000/- + 30% HRA
- Qualification: PhD in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Plant Biology / Bioengineering / Agricultural Microbiology / Life Sciences from a recognized university.
- Job Description: The Research Associate will engage in designing and developing research experiments related to plant physiology, functional biology, and genetic engineering, with a focus on rice photosynthesis. Candidates should have a strong analytical background and familiarity with omics approaches.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering and functional characterization of ribosomal protein encoding genes in rice.
- Measurements of photon flux under DSR conditions.
- Isolation of organelles and gene editing, regeneration in rice.
- Organelle isolation and quantification of biochemical enzymes.
- Organelle transformation and plant tissue culture.
- Conducting DSR experiments.
- Data integration and reporting: Analyze experimental datasets and contribute to LCA.
- Assisting in project coordination and mentoring junior researchers/students.
