Fortrea careers: Job Description
The Apprentice participates in and executes entry-level department functions in accordance with Fortrea and/or sponsor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role offers a unique opportunity to support meaningful assignments that complement education in STEM and healthcare disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation of QTs and assignment, new Quotes requests for proposals; Billing Guide/BRP generation, creation of SharePoint space, and uploading of documents (Triage form, RFP documents, and client specifications).
- Managing compliance to Quotes and Quote Track completion guidelines; updating SFDC for Quote and Opportunity tabs related to Budget Product Line.
- Following up on assignments of SMEs for all APAC RFPs, formatting, and preparing simple draft proposals for proposal managers based on RFP info and draft proposal text/budget.
- Shadowing Proposal Managers on all aspects of the appropriate proposal process and supporting timely delivery of assigned deliverables.
- Performing timely and accurate data entry into corporate databases as directed, administratively supporting facilitating internal and external opportunity management negotiations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Working towards a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or Clinical Research.
- Experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Ability to work to deadlines with a positive attitude and sense of urgency.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours as needed to meet the client’s proposal deadline.
