Job Description
The role of Scientist I in the Protein Biology team focuses on performance and specificity using innovative molecular biology methods and immunoassays. The successful candidate will engage in meticulous experimental planning and execution to meet program goals, keeping detailed records of results, and staying updated with developments in antibody development.
Key Responsibilities
- Meticulous experimental planning and execution to meet program goals.
- Excellent record-keeping of results in data sheets and laboratory notebooks.
- Regular mining of literature and keeping oneself up to date with developments in the field of antibody development.
- Compilation and presentation of data in written and oral formats. Active participation in team meetings.
- Attention to detail and adherence to schedules.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should have a Master’s degree with 0-3 years of confirmed experience or a fresh PhD (within one year of completion) in a life sciences field related to molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in immunoassays such as Western blotting, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, Flow cytometry, and ELISA.
- Theoretical or practical experience in antibody development platforms is desirable.
- Experience and knowledge in protein purification and analysis technologies such as affinity or ion exchange chromatography, SEC, HPLC, and SDS-PAGE.
- Experience with proteins, including structure-function or mutational analysis, and molecular biology expertise in handling nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, antibody or protein engineering.
- Familiarity or experience in development of conjugation chemistry or performing antibody conjugation.
- Project or work experience supporting relevant skills such as publications, project reports, or thesis work.
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and possess strong statistical knowledge.
