Job Description
The Associate STEM Content Analyst will play a crucial role in the GENESEQ process at Clarivate. This position involves applying knowledge in biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology to curate biological sequence-related information from patent documents. Candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the field, contributing to significant projects in gene sequencing and patent indexing.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology concepts to curate biological sequence-related information.
- Manually curate all biological sequences found in patent documents, including those in PDF or TIFF images.
- Create additional sequences described in specifications, including mutated sequences and claimed SEQ ID fragments.
- Achieve weekly production volume and quality targets while maintaining consistency.
- Promote personal safety and adhere to recognised codes of practice for safe working.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or equivalent.
- Freshers or candidates with around 1 year of experience in patent indexing with basic patent knowledge.
- If experienced, at least one year’s experience in patent indexing, disease indexing, and abstract writing.
Required Skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in patent indexing, gene sequencing, and disease indexing.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with publicly available databases like NCBI and PubMed.
- Strong secondary research skills.
